Amanda Torres - Finding Joy in Yoga Journey
I was introduced to yoga as a form of exercise and something fun my mom and I could do together. As time went on, I found myself getting more interested in continuing because I noticed changes, not only in my strength and flexibility, but also my confidence and my ability to handle situations. Being able to focus on the breath has been a huge help in facing situations that give me anxiety. And instead of looking at a pose and thinking “I’ll never be able to do that.” I look at it as well that’s a fun goal to practice towards. I love practicing yoga Asana and as a teacher I find so much joy in encouraging people who didn’t think they were strong or flexible enough to do yoga to join me in practice.
