"In recent years, yoga has become increasingly popular in the US."

This popularity can be seen in many ways: in the sheer number of yoga studios in the United States, in the variety of yoga gear sold at many retailers, and even in the conversations, you can overhear in public places about yoga and meditation practices, at least in big cities.

The reason for doing yoga is even more evident in people's reasons for doing it. Yoga's spread in the United States was measured in this study.

It also discusses who practices yoga today and what motivates them to do so. Interestingly, these elements have changed over the last few years and will undoubtedly continue to do so.

Yoga's journey to the US

In addition to scholarly analysis, yoga was introduced to the United States by yogi monks and was very popular at first.

In 1893, Swami Vivekananda spoke at the Parliament of World Religions, introducing yoga and its philosophy to the United States for the first time.

Yogic philosophy and then the citizen of the United States is promoted throughout the country. In his book, Raja Yoga, he shows how yogic meditation enables people to reach higher spiritual awareness and understanding levels.

As a result of Vivekananda's establishment of learning centers in the US, many other yogis and monks brought different forms of yoga to the country.

Parmahansa Yogananda, a yogi, developed yoga in the 1920s because of its focus on controlling the breath and developing life energy. His autobiography, titled "The Autobiography of a Yogi," was one of the bestselling books of that time.

Yoga as a Business in the US

In addition, there are business-related considerations. In the new survey, US citizens spent billion on classes, gear, and accessories, an increase from a billion three years ago.

In the United States, practitioners spent $billion on yoga classes and $billion on yoga clothes in the past few years, which is more than double what they did just a few years ago.

As well as yoga mats, practitioners spent a lot on other items. According to the US Yoga Association, there are 6,000 yoga studios in the US, 30 million Americans practice yoga every year, and we spend $16 billion on yoga equipment, clothing, and accessories.

In the 21st century, yoga has become increasingly popular in the United States as more and more people jump on board.

Yoga's popularity today in the US

The popularity of yoga has been around for centuries in this world. In a resolution adopted by the UN general assembly on 11 December 2014, 21 June is declared an "International Day of Yoga." Each year, the popularity of yoga grows in every corner of the globe.

Over the last century, US yogis and teachers have introduced many types and flavors of Hatha Yoga - from hot Yoga to Restorative Yoga to posture- and exercise-heavy forms.

US yoga instruction market is forecast to grow rapidly in the forecast period, as the market has shown upward trends over the past few years.

Modern postural yoga has been adapted to meet the needs of modern-day US practitioners. Various physical movement practices have been incorporated into yoga through researches.

In this way, yoga honors tradition while providing students with the opportunity to develop their views.

Yoga is gaining importance every day in the US, which is good for people interested in such activities.
